The Rieinertobel rockfall gallery on Valserstrasse was built in 1983 and needs to be repaired. In this project, the probability and the consequences of a gallery failure were calculated as part of a risk assessment. Possible reinforcement measures are examined based on their efficiency. The result is that the rockfall gallery meets SIA 269 safety requirements and does not require reinforcement.
