Project: Falling Rocks - risk calculation for rockfall protection galleries

This project developed a generic probabilistic model for quantifying risks resulting from rockfall on protective galleries. The model was implemented in Microsoft Excel © and allows for the consideration of location- and object-specific parameters within the risk analysis.

The underlying risk model is based on Bayesian networks, which are used for the consistent calculation of personal and property risks. Additionally, the failure probability of the protective gallery is explicitly modeled and integrated into the overall risk assessment.

The methodological foundations and the model structure are detailed in the accompanying [document/document]. Project report documented.
