In this project, a reliability analysis for a power plant stage was carried out. Here, the reliability of the armored pressure shaft under load due to pump and turbine operation was calculated. Emergency stop situations were also taken into account when determining the effects. A mechanical model was developed for the resistance that takes into account the composite system of steel armor, surrounding concrete and surrounding rock.
