A retractable shading system of 2 x 15,000 m2 was planned by Leitner ropeways for the Masjid al-Haram mosque in Mecca. The mechanical system consists of a large number of components that must work together to ensure that the roof retracts reliably. In this project, the availability and reliability of the drive-in system was calculated by Matrisk.
